Mobile Application Back-End Developer
The Role
Mobile Application Developer is part of coderandpauper’s Scholar
team. Scholar is a greenfield project for educational institutions.
As a skilled member of the team, the Mobile Application Developer
will help lead the development of Scholar mobile app on both iOS and
Android platforms.

- Manage projects from conception to delivery.
You will need to have:
- Extensive experience in back-end development using Node.js.
- Experience in large-scale distributed microservices architectures.
- Experience with setting up, monitoring and maintaining PostgreSQL
instances.
- Experience with implementing and maintaining PostgreSQL backup and
disaster recovery processes.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) including Lambda, API
Gateway, CloudFormation and VPC.
- Experience in scalable containerized systems and micro-services.
- Experience in Web Sockets and REST based APIs.
- Good understanding of software design patterns.
- Good understanding of the full mobile development life cycle,
including automated testing and building.
We would love you to have:
- Strong knowledge of the SOLID principle and MVP architecture.

- Experience with MongoDB or Firebase databses.
- Experience of location services, payments, notifications and third-
party libraries.
- Experience with Web application development.
- A passion for learning new things.
- A desire to teach others what you know and for mentoring other team
members.
